Hunger Games Trilogy Book Review

Hunger Games Trilogy consists of three books: Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay.

The books were written by Suzanne Collins.

I have always known of the Hunger Games, but never really understood the popularity until February, last month. It was a Sunday, and my sister and I found the movies on TV! We managed to watch all three of them within that week!

I ended up borrowing the first book from a neighbor a week later, then impatiently waited at the library for the second. A friend of mine let me borrow the third from her.

I am officially obsessed with this story. The characters, the plot, the way it was written. The only thing I regret is not discovering and reading the books sooner!

The books left me breathless in every scene, making me feel the same pain, love, and loss as the characters with every word I read. The story is so strong, so riveting, so haunting in it’s own unique way, I couldn’t even absorb all the emotion at once. The books refused to leave my hands. When I was forced to close the book, I would hold it, trying not to cry sometimes in fear of what came next.

The Hunger Games Trilogy has left a mark on my heart that will never leave. The emotion in the story is so strong it makes my chest tighten just thinking about it.

I wait anxiously for the sequel, The Ballad of Songbird and Snakes, to come out. I know Suzanne Collins will pull all of us in again, into the arena of the Hunger Games universe.

Many people start reading these books in middle school, but its loved all the way through the adult years. The trilogy is packed with action and page-turning emotion in a love story so different from anything this world has ever seen.

If you’ve read the Hunger Games, tell us what you think below! I love talking about my favorite books with others.
