Five Feet Apart review

“So, after all that CF has stolen from me-from us-I’m stealing something back.”

-Five Feet Apart

Yesterday I finished reading Five Feet Apart. A New York Times bestseller. Written by Rachael Lippincott with Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.

In the story, two teenagers, Stella Grant and Will Newman, both have Cystic Fibrosis. They meet and fall in love. But those with CF can not touch each other. They have to stay six feet apart at all times to prevent getting worse. But not even touch can keep these two lovers apart.

I’m holding myself back from sharing more. (I can’t stand spoilers!)

I have cousins with Cystic Fibrosis. Talking with my aunt one day, she shared with me how realistic the book was, how much my cousins enjoyed it. They all told me I should read it. I learned so much about CF from reading this book! The story was amazing, heartwarming in a way I would have never imagined. It’s a whole different kind of page-turning romance. And it’s wonderful. I found myself holding back tears while I read during my break at school.

The book is definitely geared towards older readers. I highly recommend it!

Feel free to comment if you liked the story.
